Unlock the secret for unlimited growth

5 components of building a rock-solid community [Community OS]

Want to know the secret behind guaranteed, consistent growth?

I'm going to be straight with you...

It's not what most founders think.

That's why they get trapped in a never-ending cycle of trying to bring in new leads and then sell to them.

It's exhausting.

And while getting that initial momentum around your brand is essential...
It's certainly not the answer to consistent, predictable, and sustainable success.

Which brings us back to that secret behind guaranteed, consistent growth -

Community

With a loyal, engaged, and active community, you don't have to rely on the constant grind of starting from 0 every month.

With a community, you have access to a group of people who already know and trust you...

Ready to take action whenever you give the signal.

And if you build your community correctly - you'll even have your own brand advocates...

Going out and bringing in new people you might have never reached on your own.

Because community is such a crucial part of sustainably growing your brand, I've decided to make it the theme of today's newsletter.

I'm going to share with you 5 components of building a rock-solid community around your brand.

These are some of the components I cover more in-depth in my brand new course, Community OS.

I hope you leverage these principles to grow a committed following of raving fans around your brand.

4 Barriers Keeping You From 10X-ing Your Revenue

New Free Workshop

In the process of building 3 brands to 7 figures - I've made a lot of mistakes and have had to overcome many barriers.

And after having spoken to 1,000s of other founders, I've come to realize that many founders have faced the exact same challenges.

But the cool thing is, if you can move past these barriers - your success is almost guaranteed.

On Thursday, August 24th, I'm hosting a workshop where I'll reveal 4 barriers keeping you from 10x-ing your revenue, and how you can overcome them.
Here's a bit of what I’ll be covering:

  • My Step-By-Step Method for 10x-ing Your Audience Growth
  • The Winning Habits of Relentless Founders
  • Little-Known Tweaks That Instantly Turn Lukewarm Offers Into Viral Sensations
  • The Importance of Viciously Defending Your "Environment"
  • Plus much, much more...

If you're tired of feeling "stuck" in your business, and are ready to break through to the next level - I hope you'll grab a spot to attend this training.

Now, back to 5 components of building a rock-solid community.

#1 - Build solid foundations

The first step is to figure out the "why."

Not why you want this community (although that still matters), but why they will want to be part of your community.

Before you do anything else, you need to develop a:

  • Vision — what you want to become in the future
  • Mission — what you need to do today (& every day) to achieve your vision
  • Purpose — the values and principles that underpin everything you do

In short, you need to give people a reason to be there.

There’s too much competition to bring something average to market. What you offer has to have substance and massively help your tribe.

If you fall short here, nothing else you try to build will work.

#2 - Find your tribe

With your Vision, Mission, and Purpose, you now have all you need to bring your tribe together…

Now you need to go out there and find your tribe.

The problem is, most entrepreneurs focus on the wrong things.

They get caught up in endlessly scrolling social media and the latest marketing hacks.

But that will only distract you, and keep you from growing at the rate that's truly possible.

Instead, you need to focus on WHO your ideal community member is:

  • What is the biggest challenge they face (and problem)?
  • What pain do they feel?
  • What does success look like?
  • What will success FEEL like when they achieve it?
  • What desires drive them and what thoughts and feelings consume them?

Without knowing this — and appreciating "who" your ideal tribe member is — you can't bring them together.

Your tribe serves as the very foundation for your community.

It's about them, not you.

But it does start with you.

You have to go out and find them, connect with them, and then bring them into your community.

If you hone this ability - you'll have developed one of the most valuable and recession-proof skills.

And your potential for impact is practically limitless.

I'll show you my favorite way to connect with my tribe and bring them together next.

#3 - Captivate through compelling content

Content is my favorite way to reach and bring together my tribe.

I love content for a few reasons.

First, it's self-selecting.

People who share my values are naturally drawn to the content I put out.

Second, it's highly shareable - which means that I have the opportunity to connect with others I might never have interacted with on my own.

And finally, it's "immortal."

Once you post it online, it sticks around for a long time, increasing your opportunities for connection.

Of course, I'm not just referring to posting content "just because."

There is a bigger purpose that influences the content we create.

And since you now know "who" you're trying to reach, it’s easier to hone in on the content that will reach them.

Not just content that helps them take action - but content that captures their attention and makes them feel connected with you and your mission.

The question is, what content works for your people…

  • Video?
  • Podcasts?
  • Written?
  • Visual?
  • Short?
  • Long?

Your focus here has to be on relevance.

Again, there’s too much competition, and the world already has enough average content that does nothing but distract people.

The content you create—whatever it is—has to be relevant, impactful, and offer the sort of guidance your tribe needs.

Once you consistently provide this, you can build some serious momentum.

#4 - Nurture, monetize, & scale your community

Although building your rock-solid community takes time, you can start monetizing sooner than you might think.

This is another mistake many founders make...

They either push so hard it comes across as desperate, or they wait so long that the value and momentum of the community start to decrease.

As long as you have an offer that provides amazing value to your community, you can start offering it quite quickly.

In fact, I imagine that from the very beginning there will be people that want the support or guidance that your offer provides.

And there's an added benefit of monetizing earlier rather than later...

The sooner you monetize your community, the more you can reinvest in the community.

Whether it's providing higher-quality content, more hands-on support, or anything else you may decide on.

This allows you to further nurture your community, which in turn leads to more testimonials and word-of-mouth referrals.

Ultimately propelling the growth of your community.

So no, you don't have to wait forever to monetize - waiting too long can actually hinder your growth.

Get started and keep taking positive steps forward each day.

#5 - Launch with momentum

Of course, you're going to want to put into practice everything I've shared with you.

And so in this last point I want to share some best practices for launching with momentum.

Want a massive and successful launch?

Do this:

  • Directly invite engaged members of your following into your community
  • Offer free spots (or other incentives) to potentially influential members
  • Gather testimonials regarding your experience, skills, etc., to include in your promotional content
  • Plan a big launch across all your channels

If you can get your launch right, then your community will become almost self-sustaining from the very beginning.

But even if things don't go as you planned, that's totally ok.

The power and value of a community make it worth building - even if it takes longer than you'd like.

Because once it's built, you have an asset that will take you farther than you imagined possible.

There you have it, 5 components of building a rock-solid community.

I hope you found those helpful.

And make sure to take some time this coming week to put together plans for your own community.
